We grew up here, in Krokos, a quiet village in the heart of Tinos, long before the island became a destination people came searching for.
What we came to love most is simple: the peace of the village, the slow rhythm of everyday life, and the feeling of being far away from any noise and pollution. Life moves gently here. People greet each other in the village alleys, neighbours stop for a word, and every day carries the same quiet warmth that makes Tinos feel like home to those who know it well.
Waking up in Krokos, at AESIS, has a way of slowing everything down. You step outside barefoot, with no rush and no plans, and let the island set the pace. A short drive takes you to the nearest beach through the raw, golden Cycladic landscape: dry stone walls, open fields, and the unmistakable scent of the Aegean in the air.
You swim, get salty and sandy, and lose track of time. Then you return home as the evening settles in, shower off the day, and sit down to a simple dinner of fresh, local food from the small tavern next door. Nothing is extravagant, everything is real. To us, this is what an authentic summer day feels like, the kind of day that reminds you how good it is to simply live.
